CC3220MOD: Ground fill in layout near the RF section

Hi,

In the LAUNCH-CC3220MODSF module PCB layout, a ground fill is provided in all layers near the RF antenna section. Is it recommended to have ground in all layers or it is required on the top signal layer and the ground plane under it?

    Hi,

    This recommendation is to ensure you have a 50 ohms coplanar waveguide transmission line and the signals below the second ground layer (on 3rd and 4th layer) does not impact the RF performance.
    You can have the ground on the top and second layer (ground layer) .
