WL1807MOD: Out of the band measurement failure

Expert 6470 points
Part Number: WL1807MOD

Team,

During the WiFi mesurement in Brasil with WL1807MOD, the laboratory found issue during the "out of the band measurement" on the 5 GHz, according to section 12.3. of the attached document - we failed on the edge.

Could you recommend us how to set properly accomplish the WiFi test for this test case?

Please see the attachments below.

Thank you,
Bartosz

  • Hello Bartosz,

Can you please share some more details about how exactly are you taking measurements?
Are you using calibrator tool? RTTT? any other tool?

  • Hi Eduard,

Can you please confirm the FW version / SP version and .INI file you are using? Are you configured for use with 1 antennas or 2? We will need to verify some of this information as well.

    Thanks,
    Riz
  • Hi Eduard,

I haven't heard back from you. I'm assuming you were able to resolve your issue. If not, just post a reply below (or create a new thread if the thread has been locked due to time-out)

    Thanks,

    Riz

  • driver version: ol_r8.a9.22

    PHY firmware version: Rev 8.2.0.0.240

    firmware booted (Rev 8.9.0.0.76)
    we use one antenna
  • Hi Riz, the DFS issue is still open, we need your help. The additional information into the thread with emission out of the band was added.
  • Hi Bartosz,

The issue here may be that the .INI file may need to be modified. Have you run the test against the CE requirement? Does this pass? Is the requirement for CE and Brazil different. Since our module has never been certified for Brazil there may be some additional "tweaking" to the .INI file that may need to be done.

Please confirm the above. In parallel I will need to discuss with our test house if the requirement is different for Brazil.

    Thanks,
    Riz
