Hi,

Still, I would like to ask about this. lwIP is a project of third-party developers and it's not yet clear
if it will be possible to reconcile it with TI-RTOS v2.16 for CC3200, especially if it's lwIP's third-class
API - BSD Socket API. And what about the TI-RTOS Network Developer's Kit (NDK)
specifically designed for the development of network applications for TI embedded processors.
In document (Revised October 2017) TI-RTOS_NDK_API_Reference_Guide_spru524k.pdf are described in detail
PPP, HDLC API functions and is specified for protocol support (LCP + PAP/CHAP with md5 + IPCP + IP).
However, in my TI-RTOS installation there are no link directories /ti/ndk. What is wrong here?

Hi,

NDK is not supported by CC3200 devices. CC3200 have own TCP/IP stack in NWP (network processor). Communication with stack is done via SimpleLink driver and BSD sockets.

According my experiences should be easier to port lwIP into CC3200 instead try get to work NDK at CC3200.

Update: As follow up to your older thread ( https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/simplelink_wifi_cc31xx_cc32xx/f/968/t/673932 ) why you want to use GSM/3G modem without TCP/IP over AT commands support. With proper modem will be your live much easier...

do you need NDK or LWIP? can you use MSP432 and CC3120 or CC3220 + other Ethernet MCU? what exactly are you trying to build - a Wi-Fi to Ethernet gateway or a Wi-Fi radio in which you don't want to leverage the built in TCP/IP stack?
in the latest SDKs for the C3220, MSP432, etc. - there is a network services section in the core part of the SDK which is applicable to all the parts.

Hi,
If the document [TI-RTOS_2.16_Users_Guide.pdf] with references to spru523/524, taken from <TI_INSTALL_DIR>,
covers many platforms, then does the component TI-RTOS Kernel (SYS/BIOS) [and SYS/BIOS User's Guide - SPRUEX3] fully apply to CC3200?
Does this component support POSIX thread (pthread) APIs?

Jan,
The modem on the board [SIM5350] does not have a built-in protocol stack. AT commands can be used to set
external PPP connection over GPRS.

Hi,

Yes, I know how GSM modems with ppp works. I just want to say that you selected very complicated way which will not be easy to realize.
