LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: Wi-Fi range of the CC3220MODASF and how to extend it.

Hi,

I am using simplelink CC3220MODASF launchpad.I want to connect the I/O devices to this launchpad through the Wi-Fi.

So I want to know what is the maximum range of Wi-Fi of this launchpad with and without external antenna as it has a option for both on-board and external antenna connection.

Also if want to extend the range by connecting the external antenna which antenna should I prefer and there is a option of Wi-Fi extender. How I can use it with CC3220MODASF launchpad

Hi Sagar,

It looks like this information is outlined for you in the CC3220MODASx Hardware User's Guide. The LAUNCHCC3220MODASF features: "Long-range transmission with highly optimized antenna (200 m typical in open air using an access point with 6-dBi antenna AP)"

Also, for the CC3220MODASF there isn't an option to connect an external antenna.
