Hi,

I am using cc3200mod with my custom board and debugging it with the help of CC3200 LaunchpadXL. I amusing CCS 6 version with SDK1.3.0. I have modified HTTP client demo project and flashed .bin file to the c3200mod. After flash I have removed SOP2 jumper and reset the board but the device didn't start as expected. It is fine when I am debugging it but not working with Flash. I have also tried flashing .hex file to the CC3200MOD but result is same as before.

I have formatted the flash with 1MB option and programmed with latest service pack and after that flashed the .bin and .hex file with Uniflash. I didn't get any error while flashing with Uniflash.

Can anyone please tell me what I am missing or what should I do to make it work with Flash?

Hi Nikhil,

You need to flash .bin file into /sys/mcuimg.bin using Uniflash software. As first step please upload some basic example like a "blinky" from SDK to be sure that your upload procedure is correct. Is your code functional at LaunchPad?

Hi,
I have tried with blinky example and it is working fine but it is still not working with .bin file of http client demo.
Http client demo is working with UART Interrupt Handler.
Do I need to flash some other file along with .bin file?

Hi,

No this is not important. Reason of your issue is something else.

Please answer following questions:
- Are you able run http_client_demo demo without modifications from sFlash at your board with CC3200MOD?
- Are you able run http_client_demo demo without modifications from sFlash at CC3200 LaunchPad?
- Are able run your code from sFlash at CC3200 LaunchPad?
- Did you modified default linker files?
- Do you have enabled all used peripherals by API MAP_PRCMPeripheralClkEnable()?
- Your code does not start or crash (fault ISR) at beginning?

btw ... CCS 6 is relatively old version. Maybe you should consider move to latest version 8 (or 7.4).

Hi Nikhil,

In addition to the questions asked by Jan, I have a few:

1) After removing the SOP 2 jumper, what do you mean by the device didn't start as expected? Is there no output on serial terminal?
2) Did you follow the instructions outlined in the Wiki page below?
