Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1837
We planned to use TI’s WL1837 module. We have a few questions as listed below.
Note: It is planned to use the same PCB layout design as TI’s EVK for certification reuse.
- Please share the throughput UDP/TCP achieved in 2.4GHz and 5GHz
- What will be the maximum range possible ? I understand this depends on multiple factor but 80 meters is the requirement. I would like to understand the maximum range tested by TI where the module is connected and able to give at-least 2Mbps throughput. The product is intended for indoors so 5GHz susceptibility is understood but would like to have this data for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
- Also please suggest best antenna (certified) to be used to achieve this maximum range you are suggesting. We noticed the certified antennas for WL1837 is listed in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/WL18xxMOD_Regulatory_Product_Certification
- Please share the certified firmware and driver for our use in this product.
- Please share the details on test setup used by TI. This information will be helpful to compare our setup and results achieved by us.
- Is this module’s Bluetooth fall under Class 1 or Class 2 ? Please confirm.
