Hi,

I want to remove the TM4C1294NCPDTI3R emulation circuit during development.

So I want to flash a CC3220MODASF launchpad using a external JTAG emulator instead of on board TM4C1294NCPDTI3R emulation circuit.

To do this what changes should I to do. Also which hardware or software is needed for this.

Hi,

Please see www.ti.com/.../getliterature.tsp ta chapter 2.4.1.

In brief:
- remove J3 jumpers (TMS, TCK, TDI, TDO)
- connect your debug probe (e.g. www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU110-U ) to JTAG IN
- in case of that you want use UART from debug probe, you can connect to middle pin of UART jumpers (RX, TX) and remove RTS jumper (it should/may to be connected to debug probe too)

Hi Hnz,

Is there any specific probe for CC3220MODASF launchpad. As I am using only CC32XX series controller.

Also can I use uniflash tool to flash the launchpad using JTAG probe.

Hi,

From TI you can select:
- XDS100
- XDS110 ( www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU110-U )
- XDS200 ( www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU200-U )
- XDS560 ( www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU560V2STM-U )

My recommendation is to select XDS110 (same as is at LaunchPad) or XDS200 if you want better performance.
