Linux: WL2171, WPA2 PATCH issue

Hi ,
we were using the Wl1271 chip set along with Am335x ... we are sending TCP pockets (3k bytes ) at every 200 ms interval and receiving the data within 250 ms,with out any issue from pc ... .

But recently we applied the patch due to KRACH issue and getting the delayed data (400-800 ms) from PC



Earlier environment :

Hello Raghu,

The KRACK fix adds several checks on the FW level and some on the WPA_Supplicant layer.
On the FW level the change is in broadcast packets - so if that's not the case then it might be caused by the WPA_Supplicant changes.

Concerning these we have less control as these were added by the Linux community.

Can you please send us FW logs and Driver logs so we can take a deeper look into it.

Hi Raghu,
From WiFi standpoint, multiple factors can govern throughput :
- Quality of air . More APs in and around the band your AP is on can affect TP since all devices will fight for air and there could more packet re-transmissions etc.
- Ensure your AP supports 11n . Packet aggregation is important for better TP
-Ensure your DUT is transmitting at intended power etc. For this you will need a spectrum analyzer etc.
- Host CPU speed , SDIO bus speed

From TCP standpoint make sure window size is set correctly. Since we don't control TCP/UDP layers, I won't be able to comment much on that.
