WL1837MOD: RF routing

Hello,

I am routing a board that utilizes the WL1837MOD and wanted to gather as much info as possible for properly routing the RF traces.

I see the datasheet says to route the trace as a 50ohm microstrip transmission line, but it also says the "RF traces must have via stitching on the ground plane beside the RF trace on both sides"

Does this mean it should be routed as a 50ohm coplanar waveguide instead of a microstrip transmission line? Would it be fine to route as 50ohm CPW?

I checked the datasheet (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/wl1837mod.pdf) and the design guide for the MOD daughter card (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru382a/swru382a.pdf) and i dont see any reference to using Microstrip.

The reference uses a CPWG, and i would suggest using this going forward.

I will proceed with using a 50ohm CPW as shown in the MOD daughter card.

For reference, Section 7.1.2, Table 7-2 #10 from the WL1837Mod datasheet is where I saw recommendations to use a microstrip transmission line.
