WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS: Is there a command to set the 5 GHz band WIFI on with unmodulated carrier?

Would you please advise if there is a command to set the 5 GHz band WIFI on with unmodulated carrier? This is for frequency drift tests.

From the WL18xx TX Testing page the closest looks to be the TX Tone test with carrier feed through.

// 5GHz Transmit Carrier Feed Through
calibrator wlan0 plt power_mode on
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tune_channel 36 0 0
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tx_tone_start 1 0 0 0
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tx_tone_stop

I've been looking at the WL18xx_TX_Testing link however I don't see an explicit reference to a 5GHz unmodulated carrier, can you provide a specific reference?

Hi Malcolm,

From the example you posted you need to change the first parameter in the tx_tone_start to 2. This will change it to transmit a single tone. This should be able to be used for your testing.

The channel is set but the tune_channel command.

In the same manner if you take the following:

// 2.4GHz Transmit Single Tone
calibrator wlan0 plt power_mode on
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tune_channel 6 0 0
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tx_tone_start 2 0 0 0
calibrator wlan0 wl18xx_plt tx_tone_stop

Change the tune_channle 6 to 36, for example which will be 5GHz channel 36 transmission.
