WL1831MOD: WL183X antenna switch configuration

Dear TI:
My client has questions about the configuration of the WL183X antenna switch, take the switch control of 5G as an example:

1, When TX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (D6 of the chip) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (E6 of the chip) is 0V

When RX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (D6 of the chip) is 0V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (E6 of the chip) is 3V

2, If customer want:

When TX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (chip's E6 pin) is 0V,

When RX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V

Can the WL183X support this configuration?

Can you config you are using WL1831MOD?
AFAIK It doesn't support 5Ghz

The IC is WL1837. It support 5Ghz. The switch is controled by SW_CTRL_A_RX_3V and SW_CTRL_A_TX_3V. Thanks!

Can you help to check the problem of my customer, it is urgent for my customer.
My client relay they used WL1837, the switch is controled by SW_CTRL_A_RX_3V and SW_CTRL_A_TX_3V.

Hi Mako,

The 5GHz switch control for the WL1837MOD is done internal to the module. IF you want to ensure the module is operating as expected you can use RTTT via RS232 and control the 5GHZ path for receive or transmit, in this way you would be controlling the 5GHz switch. But within the module, this is already take care of.

IF its a chip down that you are using, then please e-mail separate to take this off-line. I will go ahead and close this thread for now.

We use the IC WL1833/7 to design module.It is not the WL1837MOD of TI.
I have questions about the configuration of the WL1833/7 antenna switch。 Now take the switch control of 5G as follow:
When TX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (D6 of the chip) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (E6 of the chip) is 0V
When RX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (D6 of the chip) is 0V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (E6 of the chip) is 3V
But because the switch will stop production，The control definitions of switch used for replacement are different.
We want：
When TX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (chip's E6 pin) is 0V,
When RX: SW_CTRL_TX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V and SW_CTRL_RX_3V (chip's D6 pin) is 3V
Can the WL1833/7 support this configuration?

Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot configure this. The option is to change the layout to swap the control lines or to find a different part. We are not able to change the configuration of how WiLink is used for the switch.
