Hi Team,

Can you provide answer to the below questions.

(a) how to connect from cc3100 to router when router ssid is configured as hidden that means it will not broadcast. If I try to pass directly the correct ssid and password to Wlan_connect api, It will successfully establish the connection but if I pass wrong SSID to Wlan_connect api, it will give timeout after a long time(observed 5 min) since it is not available in the network.
can we get the timeout within minimum time period which is not noticeable?.
(b) "sl_WlanGetNetworkList" this function will search for the devices which are available in the network but in this case device is hidden so how to establish connection in this situation.

Hi Likhitha,

Use the API sl_WlanConnect directly, then you can wait for the connection event for however long you want.
You will only be able to connect to hidden SSID, and there is no way to scan for one.

Hi Aron thanks for the quick reply. I just want clarification on getting the connection event. Can we control the timeout to get the connection event there?If device is not found and i want timeout immediately, is this possible?

The only way to assume the AP is not available is to run a scan first, and then avoid the event wait loop altogether if the AP is not in the scan results.
