CC3220: keep alive packet, what is this? can it be disable?

Part Number: CC3220

Hi,

From the AN below, there is a keep alive packet. Want to know is it mandatory or can stop? How long does this packet last and  what’s the power consumption?

  • Hi Tang,

We haven't singled out the power consumption of this periodic keepalive packet, but the influence on the total power consumed is minimal. The interoperability benefits of having this occur are important, so this packet is mandatory and is not able to be disabled.
