CC3220S-LAUNCHXL: SimpleLink device supports only legacy provisioning sequence...

Part Number: CC3220S-LAUNCHXL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220S

Trying to set out CC3220S back to fresh out-of-the-box state; am following guide here to the letter (Development mode flashing, etc.):

SWRU473A–February 2017–Revised August 2018 SimpleLinkTM Wi-Fi® CC3220 Out-of-Box Application

Application starts up fine, but cannot provision it from iOS device.

See no handshaking or other 'events' on UART after below is displayed.

Perhaps useful(?) add'l info: I am able to connect to the board directly, at its http address, and interact with it normally. All that seems to be in order.

  • Hi,

If you can connect to the board as an AP and then access the config pages, then you should be able to provision it using AP provisioning. Do you get an error, or other indicator that something goes wrong on the iOS app side?

Also, if you use the config pages at its http address, are you able to provision it by manually provisioning your AP profile details?

    Michael
