This web page mentions Soft AP capabilities for WL1271. Can anyone provide more details? Is there a way to do with with the WL1271 (TiWi-R2 in particular)?

I have a few follow-up questions on this topic. Let me know if you want me to take any of these offline.
Thanks,

Brad,
a. 5 Station limitation is on-chip SW limitation.
b. Less that 1 MIPS per Client is required for management. CPU load for data handling does not depend on the number of connected clients passing the traffic and is the same as for single client connected.
c. This is dependant on HLOS/Processor/Memory etc and would need to be measured on specifc platform.

Can you perhaps give a specific example? My customer is using OMAP3530. At a bare minimum I could really use some approximation within an order of magnitude, i.e. are we talking 100s of milliseconds, seconds, 10s of seconds?

Just to be clear, can the software be modified/upgraded to support more or does some other hardware factor such as the amount of RAM preclude this?
This is a limitation in the WL1271 Firmware/ROM and cannot be upgraded to support more than 5 Stations.
Hi Brad,
It's a limit which takes into consideration some HW limitations, yes.
It can't be upgraded easily by just updating the SW.
