Part Number: CC3220S-LAUNCHXL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, CC3220S

it was working i didn't change anything and then I didn't know what happen but i couldn't connect it to de Code composer and I try it with the uniflash and I doesn't allow me to connect it . it appears me this message "Operation failed: Timeout reading data". Everything was working , I was using de Code composer and the uniflash but when i tried to load another program with the CC it started to appear me this problem

  • Hi Mitsuo,

Have you tried unplugging/replugging in your USB cable, power-cycling the board, and restarting your CCS workspace?

Can you also verify that this is not your issue: e2e.ti.com/.../2131099

    Best regards,
    Kristen
  • Yes, I already tried all , but  I still can´t connect it , I tried with another CC3220S and it works fine, so i think that the problem is in my CC3220s. I tried a factory reset but it doesn't happen anything, it doesn't appears me anything if i connect it to the terminal. this is what happens when I try to connect it using uniflash

  • Hi Mitsuo,

Please ensure that you have no other programs open that are using the same COM port (i.e. CCS, serial terminal, etc). After doing so, try restarting Uniflash, as well as unplugging your board. It may take a few tries.

Also try setting the SOP jumpers on the board to '100' and then flashing the board.

    Best regards,
    Kristen
  • Hi,

    Few other tips:
    - please try use another USB cable
    - can you measure current consumption of LaunchPad
    - are any chip(s) at LaunchPad hot?
    - are you able check if your previous code is still running
    - you can check functionality of XDS UART by loopback (connect RX and TX jumpers near TM4C chip)

    - after changing SOP to '100' do not forget press reset button

  • I already tried these , and it still not working

I'm not sure how i can measure the current if i am supplying with the usb , and I'm not sure if I did this correctly "- you can check functionality of XDS UART by loopback (connect RX and TX jumpers near TM4C chip)" but it doesn't display me anything in the terminal.

Is there a way to restore the board to the factory configuration if I can't connect it to my computer ?

  • Hi,

Sorry, I don't understand your answers.

For orientation measurement of current is good to use cheap gadget like this:

Loopback via XDS was advice only what can be also check.

  • I already check the functionality of XDS UART by loopback, with the teraterm at a BR of 115200 in the correct port and it doesn't display me anything.  Is there a way to restore the board to the factory configuration if I can't connect it to anything ??

  • Hi,

You want to say when you connected the jumper, connect teraterm to application UART, send some data, you not get it back? Please post photo to be sure that your jumpers settings is correct.

  • I tried with the sop in 100 and 010 and nothing happens.

  • Hi,

In case of that you had connected teraterm to COM port with name (XDS110 Class Application/User UART) and characters which you sent was not returned back, then you have some issue with UART at XDS110. Can you insert screenhost from device manager how do you see COM ports?

  • Hi Mitsuo,

Can you post the specific error you get when you try to use Code Composer Studio to debug a project?
