What I meant was that out of the box SPI is used. Is the SDK using UART available or in the works?

Hi Marc,

There is no SDK example currently available for communicating with the CC3120 over UART. However, it is possible to implement support for this based on the examples provided for the CC3100. See Alexis' post here for details:
