CC3100 WiFi Not Detected by my PC or Smartphone

I have CC3100 connected to TM4C123GXL launchpad. The LEDs are on, however, my computer cannot detect MySimpleLink WiFi. I also search for it in other devices, none of them can see it. This is the first time I use it.

I downloaded the CC3100 SDK (currently exists in Ti website) which contains the updated service pack.

I test another CC3100Boost (belongs to my friend but I connected it with my computer to test if the problem is from my CC3100) and my computer detected it.

Would you please help me how to fix this?

What firmware are you running on it?

It needs to be in AP mode for it to show up as an available device.

I am using CC3100 Software Development Kit (SDK), Service Pack, and Add-Ons CC3100SDK_1.3.0 from www.ti.com/tool/download/CC3100SDK

Hi Meshari,

If the TM4C123GXL does not put the CC3100 into AP mode it will not show up as a WiFi device. Our programmer's guide talks about AP mode and how to configure the CC3100 to operate in AP mode. Make sure you set the CC3100 into AP mode for it to be discover-able.
