CC3220MODA: Programming by XDS110 probe

Part Number: CC3220MODA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSEMU110-U, UNIFLASH

Hi

Regarding to SWRA568, CC3220MODA Launch pad can be used for UART programming.

(CC3220 QFN is regarded as CC3220MODA on custom board.)

In programming, XDS110 on the launch pad is used.

Could it be possible to use TMDSEMU110-U debug probe for UART programming instead of CC3220MODA Launch pad?

If yes, is it possible to use Uniflash with TMDSEMU110-U?

BestRegards

  • Hi,

Using the TMDSEMU110-U to program the CC3220 QFN is definitely possible. The CC3220LAUNCHXL has the XDS110 on the board, and wiring the signals from the headers on the CC3220LAUNCHXL to the CC3220 on your board is the same as taking the same signals out of the standalone XDS110 debugger (the TMDSEMU110-U) and connecting those. Since Uniflash GUI application will autodetect for any XDS110 debugger, and not specifically the ones included on the CC3220 launchpads, the TMDSEMU110-U will work the same.

    Regards,
