CCS/CC3200-LAUNCHXL: How to flash .bin onto CC3200 using Uniflash

I have similar question. I would like to flash a .bin file onto CC3200. In Uniflash, if I press "Program" button, it automatically flash /sys/mcuimg.bin. How do I instruct Uniflash to flash a different .bin file? Or should I replace /sys/mcuimg.bin with my .bin file? Where can I find /sys/mcuimg.bin?

Hi Dennis,

Please see guide for Uniflash ( processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3100_&_CC3200_UniFlash_Quick_Start_Guide ).

Your .bin file is produced by CCS and you find this file inside your workspace (generally Debug or Release directory in project). For example if you import "blinky" from SDK into workspace your .bin after compiling is workspace\blinky\Release\blinky.bin.

Hi Jan,
Yes, I am able to find the .bin generated by CCS. However, I don't know how to instruct Uniflash to flash my .bin file. When I press "Program" button, it automatically flashes /sys/mcuimg.bin without asking me which file to choose

Hi Jan,

Really appreciate for the help. Your snapshots really solve my puzzle. If I may suggest, I think the first snapshot can be added to the guide. The guide is indeed very thorough, but to the people who are doing it the first time can still be confusing. Especially, there is also a "Image Programming" button in the configuration menu. Showing the selection of /sys/mcuimg.bin really helps!
