Linux/WL1837MOD: Difference between TI bluetooth stack and BlueZ

Dear all,

We are planning to build BLE sensor network using CC2650 and WL1837 (Connected with AM4376,running on linux).

We came to know that WL1837 supports both BlueZ(Linux kernel official stack),and TI provided stack.

Please give difference between two stack and what are there probable use cases.

BlueZ is open source/linux native stack. Please search in the web for BlueZ details. On the other hand TI Bluetopia Stack is a proprietary stack, provided royalty free by TI. This is the only stack officially supported by TI and makes releases, when ever bugs are fixed or new features are added.

Apart from above mentioned differences can we compare on more points such as feature, profile provided by both stack, suitable use cases?

There is no feature by feature comparison. TI provided Bluetopia stack has the same feel and similar API usage across Linux and MCU envrionments. Where, as BlueZ is Linux specific and developed on its own by open source community..
