CC3220: Layer 3 Raw Socket IPv6 Support

Part Number: CC3220

Our CC3220 NWP Programmers guide states that Layer 3 Raw sockets do not support IPv6, only IPv4.  I just want to confirm that this is indeed correct, and that there are no plans to add IPv6 support to Layer 3 Raw sockets.

The NWP manual is correct - we will touch base with design folks about future support options, as this would require implementing handling for the basic differences between IPv4 raw sockets and IPv6 raw sockets (byte order (network (IPv4) vs. host (IPv6) and the extension headers)

Is this a hard requirement for a customer? What is the use case, in this case? Can you email those in so we can get those requests properly documented and then into design CBL process?
