CC3220MODA: Failed to unlock the device from production mode into development mode.

I am able to connect via Uniflash to a custom board using the CC3220MODASF. I am however unable to program the device and therefore unlock the JTAG. As a result I am also unable to connect via CCS and run the program. I would like tips on how to debug the issue.

This is the information I get from Uniflash:

Is there something I'm missing while using Uniflash?

What error code is returned during programming of image by the Uniflash?

The message is "Operation failed: Timeout reading data". This is the result of my attempt of programming the latest Service Pack. (advanced/Files/Service Pack/sp_3.10.0.5_2.0.0.0_2.2.0.6.bin), then connect/burn/Program Image (Create & Program).

Hi,

Hmm... that is weird indeed. I never seen such behaviour before. Can you try to use SOP configuration 100 (2-1-0)? Do you have connected reset pin from your emulator? Uniflash GUI requires control of the device reset. If you not have available reset, you can use Unilfash CLI.

Please wait for answer from guys/girl from App Team. Maybe they will have some other idea.

Hi Lenio,

Can you also share the following info about your setup:

1) What UniFlash version you are using?
2) I assume you are using a Windows 10 PC, but can you confirm?
3) Performing the same operation with a LP works?

1) Uniflash version 1.0.21.5
2) Windows 7
3) LP works fine

The circuit had other loads attached to RX & TX that prevented Uniflash to properly communicate to the board.
