RTOS/CC3220SF: Multi-thread program not working

Part Number: CC3220SF

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,

I'm working for the first time with TI-RTOS.  I'm creating simple multi-level thread program with "simplelink cc32xx sdk; Version :2_20_00_10".

I referred the examples in "simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_2_20_00_10\examples\rtos\CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL\drivers"  and created the "main thread".

Inside the mainThread, i'm creating another thread(DU_ControlThread) using POSIX thread functions. Inside the thread i'm calling a simple function inside infinite while loop which will update a temperature value in HMI via UART . But this function is not updating properly.

If i call the same function from the mainThread itself, then it is working fine.

I've attached the code for your ref.

Can anyone help me  what is going wrong

Regards,

Black

  • Hello Black,

I don't see where you initializing thread attributes (ie: pthread_attr_init()) or setting a stack size using pthread_attr_setstacksize(). You should check the return code of your function calls as they give give insight to what your problem is.

  • Hi Jesu:

    Thanks for your response.

Yes you're right, i missed to initializing thread attributes and setting a stack size. After including the same, it is working fine.

    Regards,

    Black.
