We are evaluating the LSR TiWi5 device as a temporary replacement for the the TiWi-BLE device. This is a dual band device using the TI WL1273L chip-set. For now, we want to use the 2.4GHz band only.

Is it possible to disable the 5.5 Ghz Band? Can this be done via the calibration process?

Is this what the "single" means when using the calibrator tool i.e "calibrator plt calibrate single"?

Alternatively if we select a channel in the 2.5Ghz band via the Linux wireless tools will the 5Ghz band be turned off?

Hi,

The wl1273 device (Wilink6) is actually an old device and is not really supported for new designs.
I suggest you evaluate the wl1835 device instead:

We are ware that this is a old device. This is a potential short-term measure only.

Please refer to the following document:

especially section 2.2.5 where you can specify the channels that are enabled when using the A band.
then use the calibrator with the modified .ini file to create the .bin file

We got the .ini files from LSR for the specific device but there is no entry called SmeScanAChannelList as per the document.

We are specifying the channel using the linux wireless tools. We only use channels in the 2.4GHz band.

Is it possible to say then that the 5GHz. is disabled?
