Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to prevent downgrade protection when using the OTA functionality.

I would like to insert in the OTA's metadata the firmware version, and then, the same way that the device checks the signature I would like to see if the downloaded firmware is older than the current version.

Is there a way to do this?

There is this functionality in the OTA examples in our SDK. It works by checking the version of the OTA, and it won't update if it's not newer. Look at the local OTA or cloud OTA example for reference.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I did look into the examples, however it's not clear how to use this functionality.

It appears that there's a file named ota.dat where is possible to put the version.
How can I create this file?
Where should I put it?
I can't find this information anywhere in the examples.
