CC3135: How much current does it need for one time intermittently mode?

Part Number: CC3135

Hi,

1. How much current does it need for one time intermittently mode? 111uA?

2. On http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra594/swra594.pdf, maybe it has some writing mistake on chapter 2.5.2.2 and 2.5.2.3?

Intermittently mode is 1.13 mA which is higher than always connected mode 567.98 µA. What's the test case?

3. My customer use a 3V Li-battery at 1500mAh.  Working at intermittently mode, wake up to sent one byte data at 12 hour interval, 5uA product average current which don't include CC3135. How long does it can works after add CC3135? Thanks a lot.

  • Daniel,

For intermediately connected (Referring to the mode in the power measurement guide), you are disconnecting from the AP and reconnecting every x seconds. For always connected, you are always connected to the AP using Long Sleep Intervals (LSI).

For LSI mode, you can get power consumption to roughly 350 uA while idle connected. You can test this by modifying the power measurement example, and see what current measurements you can get.

    Best Regards,
    Vince
