Hi,

Hi,

How much noise are you observing on the wifi audio output? The CC3200 passes digital audio to the codec onboard the CC3200, so you might want to take a look at that codec itself. Is there something that you think the CC3200 is doing incorrectly?

I am attaching the output from oscilloscope for your reference. Maybe its the RF from the cc3200 launchpad that is causing this problem. Is there any way to switch it off? I am really confused how to debug this issue,

Hi Charu,

I don't believe the RF would cause this problem, but if you want to rule it out you can easily turn off the RF on the CC3200 by simply never calling sl_Start() in your code

How are you powering your LaunchPad? If you're using USB connected to your PC for power this may be introducing some unwanted noise and I would recommend switching to a power supply.

Hi Alexis,

I tried using external power supply as ,well still the noise is there. Can you please check seeing the audio output on your side. Because I am still not sure whether it is the hardware or software problem.

Hi Alexis,

Can you please try wifi audio example in loop back mode and let me know if you also have noise in your output?

I am giving a sine wave of 1kHz as an input.

Manish,

A few things to try:

Use a spectrum analyzer and determine frequencies that are present. Then try to identify the cause.

In loopback mode the device only takes audio samples and gives them back to the codec. Ensure you are properly setting up the codec over I2C.
