Hi ,

I run the demo power_measurement ,selected the mode 5) the always connect .Then ,remove the J7 of BOOSTTXL-CC3135 ,the connection of CC3135 and my AP maintains few minutes

only.the serial print "[ERROR] - FATAL ERROR: Drive Abort detected" show that trigger the SimpleLinkFatalErrorEventHandler. Could you tell me how to solve the problem? I want to test the always connect power,the time is too short for the test .Thanks!

Hi,

What device are you using as the host for the CC3135? If you're not using one of the hosts supported out of the box, namely the MSP432 devices or the CC26xx devices, then you most likely have a bug in your host driver porting layer that's causing this crash.

Hi Michael,

I just use the MSP432P401R LaunchPad as my host ,by the way I want to correct the mistake that the print is "[ERROR] - FATAL ERROR: sync loss detect!" rather than "[ERROR] - FATAL ERROR: Drive Abort detected".

Hi Lu,

Testing with my CC3135 boosterpack + MSP432P401 launchpad, I can run the power_measurement example for over an hour in always connected mode without issues. Which RTOS + compiler are you using? I tested with TIRTOS and CCS.

Also, have you tried connecting to a different AP and seeing if you get the same results?

I tied connecting to a different AP without issues ,but could you tell me why the Phone's AP problem appears?

Hi Lu,

We haven't heard of problems with the CC3135 connecting to phones in hotspot mode. Have you checked to make sure that your phone doesn't go into some sort of power save mode, or otherwise disables its hotspot?
