CC3100BOOST: Using nrf52832 as host , sdk 1.3 -- what is correct H2NCnysPattern ?

Part Number: CC3100BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3100

Using the T.I. spi diagnostics that came with sdk 1.3.

The CC3100 is not responding to the H2NCnysPattern sent per below :

Here is the info from protocol.h I am using :

#define H2N_CNYS_PATTERN     {0xBBDDEEFF,0x8765,0x78,0x56}

I think if I send the 0x8765 the cc3100 responds by taking the irq low.

But I assume it should be sending the 0xBBDDEEFF since it is a 32 bit mcu.

I know I must be missing a setting that will become very obvious after it is pointed out and I plant my hand to my forehead.

  • Hi Clark,

    How is your SPI configured?

    This page shows supported CC3100 SPI configurations. Please verify your configuration conforms with what is supported by CC3100.

    Also, to make sure I understand waveform, SPI1 is the host and SPI2 is the CC3100 correct?

    Host IRQ is active high meaning when the CC3100 responds it should make IRQ high. There is a diagram of this in the hyperlink.
