CC3100: Setting OPT TX POWER for AP and ST mode in CC3100

Hi,

We are using AP and ST mode in CC3100 module. When configuring the AP mode do we need to set WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_AP_TX_POWER and for ST mode WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_STA_TX_POWER specifically by calling sl_WlanSet API?

If setting WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_AP_TX_POWER for ST mode or vice versa for AP mode how the device will behave ?

Hi Anna,

As you mentioned there are two separate options for setup of TX power. One is for STA mode and one for AP mode.

If you change WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_AP_TX_POWER in case of device is in STA mode nothing will happen. You will need to change mode into AP (with particular NWP restart) to be TX power changed. Similarly with WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_STA_TX_POWER option.
