CC3235SF: CC3235SF 5G channel configuration support need

Dear colleague,

Now our customer is testing CC3235SF, but they want to use 5G Channel. But the configuration is not successful now.

Could you please help us to solve this configuration issue?

For 2.4G OPRA_REGULATORY_CLASS is 81, and OPRA_CHANNEL can be 6.

Now they want to set OPRA_CHANNEL to 5G channels like 40, 149 or others.

So:

Does it work in CC3235SF?
If CC3235SF support 5G channel, which value will be for OPRA_REGULATORY_CLASS? How can they set operation channel to 5G channels like 149?

Hi Rock Su,

You can enable 5 GHz channels on CC3235 by using the sl_WlanSet() command with SL_WLAN_CFG_GENERAL_PARAM_ID WLAN_GENERAL_PARAM_OPT_ENABLE_5G.

Please see the NWP Programmer's Guide for all channel options.

Hi Sarah,

But the customer wants to use Go in P2P mode.

And in NWP Programmer's Guide, Enable/Disable 5-GHz Channels is in STA mode.

Hi Rock Su,

We support 5 GHz in all modes, except for DFS channels in AP or P2P GO mode (please see the NWP Processor's Guide for supported channels).

The parameter to enable 5 GHz is a general parameter. You can also enable this from the radio settings in UniFlash ImageCreator.
