LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: Example programs

Part Number: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220SF, CC3220MOD

Hello,

I have recently got a CC3220MODASF but unforutnately i do not find any examples program on it on simple link academy i tried using the example programs from CC3220SF Launchpad but the board layout is different when compared to the one i am using CC3220MODASF and when tried with gpiointerrupt, timerled example program did not find it to be working but could see the program got loaded.

The issue i am facing is it says LED0 which is different in CC3220MODASF.

Can anyone help me out in understanding this new SimpleLink controller where can i find simple code to execute and confirm its working.

thanks,

  • Hi Nagesh RK,

The CC3220SF module has the same internal device pins, so the software is the same for the module and QFN. The difference on the module is the package pins. This is summarized in the Module Pin Attributes table (4-1) of the CC3220MOD datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc3220mod.pdf

The CC3220SF LaunchPad and CC3220MODASF LaunchPad are designed to use the same peripherals. Both LaunchPads use GPIO9 for the red LED, which I believe is LED0 from the MQTT example. The CC3220MODASF LaunchPad has a RGB LED instead of 3 separate LEDs, so it might not be as clear. Try removing the I2C jumpers on the board (shared with GPIO10 and GPIO11 to the other LED signals).

The gpiointerrupt example does not print anything to the terminal, but it toggles the RGB LED on my CC3220MODASF LaunchPad as expected. What behavior did you see?

    Best regards,

    Sarah
