Hi Team,

I wanna wish all the best in the next year for all members of App Team.

Can someone look into NWP code let me know how domain name is there validated (parameter saved via SL_NETAPP_DEVICE_DOMAIN)? I need to add additional layer of validation into my GUI. From this reason I need to know what domain names are valid and which are not.

Hi Jan,

Happy holidays!

I just checked and it appears we do the following to validate the domain -

1. Verify length of total domain does not exceed max domain size

2. Check first char to verify if it is a letter

3. Check following chars to verify if its a letter, digit, or "-"

4. check last char in label to verify it is a letter or digit.

If any of these fails, we return in error. Hope that helps!
