Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3100, CC3200, CC3120, CC31XXEMUBOOST, UNIFLASH
Hello,
I am trying to use CC3100/CC3200 Radio Tool v1.2.5942.19689 with a CC31XXEMUBOOST board connected to CC3120BOOST board. The Radio Tool fails to connect to the CC3120 on the boost board with the following message:
"Cannot establish connection. Please ensure your board is flashed with latest firmware and is properly connected with the correct COM port selection (if using UART connection).
Additional Information:
1) I can connect to the CC3120BOOST board using UniFlash and have programmed the CC3120 with sp_3.11.1.0_2.0.0.0_2.2.0.6.bin
2) Windows Device Manager reports the following COM ports:
CC3100BP PORT (COM6)
CC3100BP PORT (COM7)
CC3100BP PORT (COM8)
CC3100BP PORT (COM9)
I have the Radio Tool selected to use "CC3100 UART" and have selected COM8.
3) I have tried several different CC3120BOOST boards with the same result.
Questions:
1) Does the RadioTool work with the CC31XXEMUBOOST & CC3120BOOST combination?
2) Which Service Pack does the CC3120BOOST need to have programmed to be compatible with the version of Radio Tool we are using - can you provide a link to the Service Pack.
We are looking at the Radio Tool as a means of configuring our own target CC3120, via UART, for the modes required during FCC and ETSI RED testing - continuous carrier and channel selection etc. The initial step was to proove the Radio Tool with the CC3120BOOST board.
Thanks - Derek
