CC3135: Network bypass interface

Part Number: CC3135

Hello,

Would it be possible to get answers to the following questions please:

  • Network bypass interface forwards MAC frames to the host MCU via SPI (i.e. the TCP/IP stack on the host MCU handles protocol layer)?
  • Network bypass interface supports both 2.4G and 5G?
  • Is there any source code from other RTOS implementations that we can use as a reference for porting?
  • Is CC3135 available as a pre-certified module?

Pardon, there are a few.

Many thanks for the help.

Linda

  • Hi Linda,

On your other thread, we sent you a link to the programmer's guide that includes the info about the this feature.

The NWP expects Ethernet (MAC) frames in this mode  (from the N/W stack on the host processor)

The wifi connection to the AP is done separately (entire wifi management is done in a parallel) and CC3135 supports both the 2.5G and 5G bands.

The programmers guide include a reference code. There is no example dedicated to this in the SDK (currently).

    See http://www.ti.com/product/CC3135MOD.
