CC3220SF: Provisioning Sequence Error

Part Number: CC3220SF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

I'm using the CC3220SF on a device I designed.

I'm trying to program the out_of _the _box  image from the sdk examples via Uniflash.

I'm using a CC3220SF LauchPad as a programmer to burn the image to my CC3220SF device.

I can program the image and the  my CC3220SF  device appears on my WiFi list, as I do the Provisioning procedure (same I do for CC3220SF LauchPad) I get the following error:

"Application cannot configure the selected device. Either you have selected a non-simplelink device or you have selected a simplelink device which supports only legacy provisioning sequence."

Why is this error appearing and not for the CC3220SF LauchPad ?

  • Hi,

When testing your board, I suggest you use the network_terminal SDK example for high level testing of typical Wi-Fi tasks. If you run the network_terminal example on your custom board, are you able to scan and connect to an AP successfully? This will help narrow things down between possible hardware issues or potential software/setup issues. If you are unable to run the network terminal example correctly then debugging with that and radiotool will be helpful to isolate the problem with a simpler test case.

    Regards,

    Michael
