Hi,

I want to test WLAN_AP/WLAN_Station examples on CC3200 launchpad,but the PUTTY always showed :

[GENERAL EVENT] - ID=[0] Sender=[0]

Error [-3] at line [506] in function [ConfigureSimpleLinkToDefaultState]

Here is my test environment:

SDK:CC3200SDK_1.4.0

servicepack: CC3100_CC3200_ServicePack_1.0.1.14-2.12.2.8

CCS: 9.3.0

And i did all the steps as the http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru376e/swru376e.pdf showed. But both examples resulted the same error, please help.

Hi Viki,

What version of LaunchPad do yo have? What part number is marked at CC3200 QFN chip?

Also, if this if for new development, i would strongly encourage you to look at the CC3220 or CC3235 devices instead of the CC3200. These are our latest generation devices and offer significantly more features and security than the gen one device.

Hi Jan,

The version is REV3.2 and part number is XCC3200HZ, i know it's a pre-production version but it's the only CC3200 launchpad i have.

Does this version have any limit to use SDK examples?

Hi Viki,

Yes, pre-production silicon is a problem. This silicon have many thing done by different way than production devices. From this reason support for pre-production devices was deprecated long time ago. Latest supported SDK (and particular SerivcePack) is version 1.10 from Feb 2015.
