Hi,

i implement mqtt protocol base on mqtt example.

i want to know if the mqtt lib keep alive is work properly, because i have an issue with that.

i connect to mqtt.flespi.io and some times the flespi indicate that the device is disconnected while the cc3220sf indicate that is connected.

Hi Asaf,

I do not know of any issues related to the keep alive, but that is an old library version.

Is the CC3220 still able to send MQTT messages? Does it get a response from the server?

Hi,

i don't know, because i cant to send messages to cc3220sf is indicated by the server as disconnected.

its look like i didn't get broker disconnected event.

what can i do?

Hi Asaf,

If the CC3220 tries to send a message to the server, does it return an error message?

The device is work as slave and did not send message if not request to.

What i can do to examine if connect?

Hi Asaf,

You can add a button press to send a message in your application for debug purposes.

If the CC3220 is not receiving a disconnect event from the server, there is nothing it can do besides time out and attempt reconnection. You should determine on the server side why it is disconnecting. Is your keep alive too long for the server?

The advice I gave above is how you check if the CC3220 still thinks it is connected. Please try it.
