CC3235MODASF: SDK example FLASH

Part Number: CC3235MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3235SF, UNIFLASH

Hello.

I buy a development board.

I'm loading SDK example.

I see there is only "Debug" configuration.

Dose the code load in RAM or FLASH ?

I analyze CC3235SF_LAUNCHXL_TIROTS.cmd and I see .text is mapped in FLASH ... but I don't understand why if I power off the board

and then power on and I connect HyperTerminal to virtual COM I read "out_of_box" example..

Why SDK code not remain permanently ? I'm not programming the FLASH ?

  • Hi,

In case of CC32xxSF device is code uploaded by debugger from CCS into internal XIP flash. But after power on is content of XIP flash rewritten by ROM bootlaoder by binary code from SPI flash chip. If you want to upload your binary code into SPI flash, you need to use Uniflash software. How to use Uniflash software is described here.

Another option can be use __SF_DEBUG__ macro as described here.
