Part Number: WL1837MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1837,
Hi,
We are using Wl1837 chip with i.MX6 based custom board running Linux kernel version 3.14.28. We are using a prebuilt firmware file which was tested with 4.9.11. We are getting below error while the wifi driver is loading.
wl18xx_driver wl18xx.0.auto: Direct firmware load failed with error -2
wl18xx_driver wl18xx.0.auto: Falling back to user helper
wlcore: ERROR configuration binary file size is wrong, expected 1226 got 1229
Also, We tried generating new firmware with wlconf provided with ti-utils package.
Command used to generate firmware:
./wlconf -I WL1837MOD_INI_FCC_CE.ini -o wl18xx-conf-default.bin
With the above generated firmware, driver is getting loaded but below error log is generated while hostapd config is running:
Line 14: DEPRECATED: 'dump_file' configuration variable is not used anymore
HT (IEEE 802.11n) with WPA/WPA2 requires CCMP/GCMP to be enabled, disabling HT capabilities
rfkill: Cannot open RFKILL control device

Do we need to use any specific ini file for Linux kernel version 3.14.28?
What needs to be done to fix this issue?
Thanks,
