CC3200: Missing even trigger

Part Number: CC3200

Hello team,

my customer is using the CC3200 in their design and noticed that their is missing an event trigger to enable them to switch between LTE and WiFi.  Is their an update on the code that resolves this?

Thank you in advance for your support!

Errol

  • Hi Errol,

Just to clarify, this post is about the CC3220SF and not the CC3200 correct?

Do you know what they mean by "event trigger"? What is the relationship between LTE and Wi-Fi in the system? How is it supposed to switch between the two?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Errol,

Maybe I can add a few comments. CC32xx (CC3200, CC3220, CC3235) are Wifi devices. There is no direct support for a LTE at CC3200 devices. End-user may to implement some kind of backup connection via 3rd party LTE modem (connected via UART), but all will be at end-user implementation. There is no direct support at CC3200 or CC32xx SDK for this feature. That means if all need to be implemented at end-user side, TI cannot release any update for this.

But maybe end user talk about something like missing WLAN disconnect event. Please contact your customer to obtain more detailed explanation of the
