CC3235MODAS: Power consumption

Hi team,

Customer is interested in CC3135MOD/CC3225MODSA module, I received inquiries about power consumption of CC3225MODSA.

According to CC3225MODSA datasheet(https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc3235modas , P38　8.4 Current Consumption), the power consumption indicated 223mA under the following condition.

And then, according to CC3135MOD datasheet(https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc3135mod, P18　5.4 Current Consumption Summary), the power consumption indicated 223mA under the same condition as follows.

Therefore, customer would like to know the reason why those power consumption data are same. Could you elaborate them, please?

There is possibility that some typo exist in datasheet. Can I have your comments on this, please?

Hi Miyazaki,

Again I apologize for the delay on this one. It looks like there is a mistake and the CC3235 should be ~3mA higher than the CC3135 for 54OFDM power level 0.

Hi Alexis,

Thanks for your reply. Regarding 54OFDM, we understand CC3235 should be ~3mA higher than the CC3135 . How about “1 DSSS (Tx level=0)” , “6 OFDM (Tx level=0)” and “54 OFDM (Tx level=4)” would you consider? Those power consumption of CC3235 also should be ~3mA higher than the CC3135. Is this though correct?

Hi Miyazaki,

Yes that is correct in general it will be ~3mA higher for the CC3235 compared to the CC3135 for 1DSSS, 6 OFDM and 54 OFDM.
