Hi,

i get from AWS tri files:

8a61646a1b-private.pem.key

8a61646a1b-public.pem.key

8a61646a1b-certificate.pem.crt

RootCA.pem

where do i need to set ( if so)file 8a61646a1b-public.pem.key

i get error

Wrong Root CA, Please Install The Following Root Certificate: Starfield Class 2 Certification Authority

what im doing wrong?

Hi,

As the error message indicates, the correct root CA cert file you need to install as RootCA.pem is not the one provided by AWS on their device setup page, but instead the Starfield Class 2 Certification Authority cert. Once you have downloaded the Starfield cert and flashed it onto the CC3220 as RootCA.pem, the AWS connection should work. Please give that a try.

Hi,

It work with the certificate starfild.

What about the public key i get from aws?

I didnt get subscribe callback it is ok?

Hi,

The public key is not used, you only need to flash the private key, certificate, and Starfield root CA cert onto the device. If your certs are correct and the config in aws_iot_config.h is correct too, then you should get the following output from the example:

Do you get that output from your example? If not, please share the exact output you are getting.

Hi,

I get success on connect and subscribe but im not get callback on subscribe.

If i send publish i get result success.

How can i know if it work ok.

Hi,

I suggest you use the online AWS test interface to see if your CC32xx is sending and receiving messages correctly. To do so, log into your AWS IoT platform instance and then go to the 'Test' link. From there, input the topic name your CC32xx subscribe_publish example is using (by default sdkTest/sub), and then you should see the "hello from SDK QOS0" message the CC32xx publishes every second.

Do you see those messages on the online test interface? If you do, that indicates the demo is working as expected. If not, then more debug to fix your issue will be needed.

Hi,

If you do not see those prints on the AWS console online, then there is most likely a connectivity issue between the CC3220 and the cloud. I suggest you double-check the parameters you have in aws_iot_config.h, as well as ensure that your iot policy settings for your devices allow connections to the specified MQTT demo topics.

Hi,

No, you cannot.

You can use the generic MQTT library provided in the SDK to connect to any MQTT broker, including to AWS, but the reverse is not the case. The AWS library has substantial AWS-specific functionality that makes it incompatible with other MQTT brokers.
