CC3220SF: Recommendations on unused pins configuration

Hello,

is there any best practise from TI how to handle Pins which are provided by the module(ASF) but not connected on target pcb. Exclude connecting to ground or VDD. Are there any recommendations for handling by software or should them left uncofigured ?

Hi Arnaud,

Section 4.7 in the datasheet indicates that unused pins should be left unconnected. From a software perspective, I recommend setting them to Hi-Z.

Hi Alexis,

the data sheet states that the pads are in the Hi-Z status after the reset.

This also applies to the PADs that can be connected to the GPIO unit. The GPIOs are switched to input after the reset.
The individual inputs of the GPIO unit are configured as input and are not connected to an external pad. Do they have an stable level in this case, no oscillation or a slowly level change?

In the TI examples only the pads and GPIO pins are configured that are required for the desired functionality. The other pads are not touched. It is the recommend way to do?
