Hello team,

I am trying to get data from a website using HTTPS. I had the following questions:

1. Does the HTTPClient library support HTTP over SSL/TLS? If yes, then is there a sample project explaining how to do this?

2. Are the certificates listed in "SimpleLink™ CC32xx Root Certificate Catalog" already installed on the device?

3. How can I install a new certificate?

Hi,

1.The HTTPClient does support HTTPS (HTTP over TLS). There is no standalone demo project showing HTTPS, but you can adapt the httpget example from the SDK using the instructions in this post:

2.The certificates listed in the root certificate catalog do not have the full certs installed - just the hashes of the certs for verification, in order to reduce the memory footprint of the device's ROM code. As such, you must install the root certificate that is used by the HTTP server you are connecting to using Uniflash.

3. To install a new root CA certificate, please follow the instructions here to get started with Uniflash Imagecreator:

Then, follow the steps under "Adding a user file" to add the root CA cert to your device.
