WL1837MOD: Thermal Information

Good day. I hope you are doing well.

Our customer is using the WL1837MOD and they are looking for the max junction temperature for it. They are doing a thermal simulation and needed this information. We would appreciate if you could help us provide this information. Thank you.

Cedrick,

It is important to note that operation above the 85C ambient is not guaranteed. The following note is supplied in the datasheet:

"In the WL18xx system,a control mechanism exists to ensureTj< 125°C. When Tj approaches this threshold,the control mechanism manages the transmitter patterns"

125C Tj should be considered max from what I understand.

The customer is looking for the case temperature (Tc) as well. Do you have any information about this? We would appreciate your help on this too.

Table 5.5 in the datasheet lists the thermal characteristics for the package including θJA, θJB, and θJC, is this what they are looking for?
