what's the size limitation of the external sFlash and the reason?

    Hi,

    Maximum supported sFlash size is 32MB (256Mb) and limitation is due to design of used filesystem. Additional information about sFlash you find here.

    If bigger storage is required, usage of SD card can be a reasonable choice.
