WL1837MOD: Follow -up : kernel: wlcore: Beacon loss detected. roles:0x1 - On some units

Part Number: WL1837MOD

Hello,

This post is a follow up post to my previous post:

We're still waiting for our techs to go on site and check new firmware and script. In the meantime, I have another questions:

1. How can we measure the performance difference between the old firmware and new firmware?

2.Also, the performance difference between using current scripts vs the one TI suggested.

We will our tech on site soon, so if you need additional logs from the unit that does that, please let me know.

Thanks,

D

  • Hi,

We always encourage customers to use the latest firmware and ensure it is meeting their requirements. As of today the latest firmware version is 8.9.0.0.86.

I am afraid there is no single test to check performance difference b/w firmware versions.

As for INI file - it is important that you use the correct INI file since it includes RF parameters. You may need to hook your system to spectrum analyzer and run PLT tests on the product for RF validation to check performance delta. TI provides INI files that are validated on it's modules.

    Regards
