CC3220MODA: Unable to enter Debug Mode

Part Number: CC3220MODA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, SYSCONFIG

Hi Team,

My customer has an application written on CC3220MODA back in 2017. They want to do some changes in the application but they are unable to enter the debug mode. They have their own hardware built using CC3220MODA.  The error that they get is:

Cortex_M4_0: JTAG Communication Error: (Error -1170 @ 0x0) Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 9.2.0.00002)
Cortex_M4_0: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting. There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory. It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging
Cortex_M4_0: Error occurred during flash operation: Could not read register R2: target is not connected
Cortex_M4_0: Flash Programmer: Error while writing to Flash memory
Cortex_M4_0: File Loader: Memory write failed: Unknown error
Cortex_M4_0: GEL: File: C:\Work\Technical\test\Exicom_Wifi\cbms_wifi\Debug\cbms_wifi.out: Load failed.

This error comes in the mid-way when the application is being loaded.

Things that I have already checked so far:

1. Latest SDK's "Out of box" example can be entered in debug mode on their hardware.

2. The Uniflash project already has "Development" option enabled

3. The latest Service Pack is included in the Uniflash project.

4. The SOP settings are "100" while programming through Uniflash and 000 when trying to enter debug through 4-Wire JTAG

5. The TCLK has been also reduced to 1MHz from default 5.5MHz

Could you pls give pointers on where to look?

 Regards,

Chander
